You never really realize how important a library card can be until it expires. I couldn’t renew a book to prevent late fees, no putting my name on the waiting list for school books, also no logging into databases or digital music/movies/books.
And all I had to do to renew it was show my card, show my ID, confirm that my address was the same. 10 seconds. Ridiculous.
